I'll be up front, I completely stole the pose from an Alphonse Mucha painting called Pure Temptation... but I changed some stuff... most of the fun on this was all the stuff in the background. I could o more... so if you guys have suggestions, please by all means tell me. I am posting early to either revise, or add.
That is one voluptuous babe, Mark. One voluptuous babe that has an extremely short leg. Fix that up and the drawing part will be right on. There's something about that pastel purple that's really not working to my eye, maybe play with some other colors? I do like how you're limiting your palette though, very smart move. Compositionally, my eye moves right where i think you want it to: to her fat face getting stuffed with pie.
ReplyDeleteShe likes pie very Mucha. Ha. Nice work trader. Hehe. Raining balls in NY.
ReplyDeleteps. I'm out this week. Got sparse crits last week. Wut w/ dat?
ReplyDeleteI like pie too.
ReplyDeleteShe needs to be more Gluttonous. Right now she just looks like a girl that shops at Torrid. I like the idea and layout, and I actually really like the colors.
ReplyDeleteTorrid girl. Now THAT is funny stuff. Liquify her gut in PS. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI thought about making her super fat... but I felt like the SIN in gluttony was not so much being fat as the unnecessary consumption, like eating for pleasure... almost a sexual desire for food.... I don't really know if that what the intention of listing gluttony as sin was... but thats where my head was at
ReplyDeleteoh, i was also trying to clean up my linework, as that was a comment people had made in a bunch of my previous illustrations.. I think i'm really comfortable using the brush tool in Illustrator now. If any one of you has not tried using a wacom with the pressure sensitivity in Illustrator... TRY IT.. its fun!
