Trouble out yonder

Here is my entry for this Gorey inspired week. I opted to not accompany this image with verse.
The premise speaks for itself.... A little girl, alone and left to her to her own devices in the dead of night. Lurking outside are the famished instruments of devilry slowly slogging toward her tottery refuge. I hope you like.

  1. The linework on the wallpaper is AWESOME. The wood widow ledge, everything has such great detail. I think your really nailed the theme this week. Only one thing bothers me, and thats the one dark stripe on the wallpaper has horizontal stripes and all the others are angled, kind of breaks up the pattern and is distracting, but other than that, great stuff man!

  2. This is super! The composition is great. The character design is unique, and it's really set up to tell a story. Love everything about this image.

  3. I really like the variety of thick and thin hatching... and variety of different strokes. it really gives the piece some depth and added interest. Nice job! Also, the style of the little girl is great!

  4. Great line work. Great style. Character design is very cool. Love how her left arm is blocked into the hair line. Some very nice graphic elements.Really like how the color drifts outside the lines too. Nice job!
