I think you could be looser with the color too, and really push the contrast on F4 Thing to help define the rocky texture of his body. Like in the comic reference you have where some of his rocks are black in color. Plus since he's in the foreground he probably should have more contrast than the Thing in the background. The background details are awesome, subtle but you know they are like in a warehouse or somethingFrankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06980326539746998615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714164141122947741.post-35891128160400177192011-07-21T10:35:54.080-05:002011-07-21T10:35:54.080-05:00thanks arman, agreed on all points... i have a sec...thanks arman, agreed on all points... i have a second illustration near completion right now... but its a completely different concept.. If i come back to this concept, it will probably be me tweaking a few things... specifically the looseness of hero thing. I might pop him out of the image and completely redraw him... i think his pose is even a little boring...Ratzlaffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18017109055504762729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714164141122947741.post-63812930125832022442011-07-21T10:32:44.838-05:002011-07-21T10:32:44.838-05:00Love it Mark. I think the monster thing really gave you an excuse to loosen up (which I know you don't like doing) and the result is one of the most dynamic creatures I have seen from you to date! I feel like hero thing shows a lot more rigidness. Go crazy with him too if you do another one! Also great colors!Armanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15495017171308124773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714164141122947741.post-6522369126043992852011-07-21T09:20:06.938-05:002011-07-21T09:20:06.938-05:00Due to.Due to.martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05653321594088712478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8714164141122947741.post-70515097426506331752011-07-21T09:19:18.769-05:002011-07-21T09:19:18.769-05:00I love it! Fantastic 4 Thing could have been paid a little more attention to, but the Carpenter on looks like fun, so I'm sure that was the case. Great movement in the carpenter one also. Largely too the looseness and swoopy lines. Can't wait for Part 2.martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05653321594088712478noreply@blogger.com
